1305 Miles

image

We can walk to Zion.  We walk a spiritual road every day which brings us closer to Zion, just by the choices that we make.  We can walk to Zion.  We can lace up our nice running shoes and put on our jackets, and we can walk the miles that the pioneers walked, a couple of miles at a time.

Colbert Ward Relief Society Walk to Zion Program
Our Coordinator:  Kim Porter (465-2634), kimporter59@gmail.com.
How?  We can walk over 1300 miles, as a Relief Society, over the next several weeks.  We will be meeting once a week to walk as a group, but we will also be taking the miles you walked on your own.
Kick-off Party:  Friday, February 10th, 6pm at Juli Shogan’s home.  We will be having snacks and watching “17 Miracles.”  Bring a healthy snack to share.
RS Walking Group Start Date:  Saturday, February 11th, 8am.
When:  Every Saturday after that until July 24th.  We will be walking 3 miles in the rain, sleet, and snow, regardless of the weather.  You are welcome to join us for all or part of that route.  There will be walkers of all abilities to join.
Where:  We will be meeting on Saturdays at the intersection of Golden and Little Spokane River Drive on the trail.  There is parking available on Golden.
What you can do:  Walk with us, or walk anytime on your own – report your miles on Sunday, to Kim Porter. 1,305 miles is the goal for the Colbert Relief Society Sisters.

How many handcart companies will we help get to Zion?
